Algae spores are always present in pool water; even when the pool is crystal clear and blue. Wind, rain, and even contaminated swimwear and pool cleaning equipment carry spores to the pool water, and they grow within hours as soon as conditions allow.
Out-of-balance water, warm temperatures, sunlight and, of course, lack of proper circulation, filtration and sanitation of pool water, provide suitable conditions for pool algae growth. Algae turn the pool water green and slimy and disrupt the filtration system by clogging piping and equipment.
However, even if the pool is well maintained, algae can grow. For this reason, it is recommended to add algaecide to your pool at regular intervals to prevent the growth of algae. You should also have enough algaecide at hand in case pool water turns green due to algae presence.
MEGA POOL ALGAECLEAN is used to keep the pool water algae-free. It is also added to eliminate algae and moss from pool and spa water. Despite other algaecides available on the market, this product does not leave any stains on the pool wall and steel parts in the water. Read the instructions carefully before using this product.

Before Adding MEGA POOL ALGAECLEAN to Pool Water:
- Backwash the pool filter
- Adjust the pH of the water between 7.2 and 7.8
- Make sure the chlorine level of the water is between 1.5 to 3 ppm.
- Skim the pool water
- Brush the walls and floor of the pool
Dosage:
Maintenance treatment:
On a weekly basis, add 5 ml of ALGAECLEAN per every 1 m3 of pool water.
Shock treatment:
Every two days, add 15 ml of ALGAECLEAN every 1 m3 of pool water to the pool return line until the water is completely treated.
After Adding MEGA POOL ALGAECLEAN to Pool Water:
- After adding ALGAECLEAN to the water, keep the pump running for at least 24 hours.
- Backwash the filter 24 hours after adding ALGAECLEAN to the pool water.
- After adding ALGAECLEAN to the pool water, wait for 6 hours before swimming.
- The best time to add ALGAECLEAN to the pool water is 6 hours after chlorination.
